                    “Paving the Way”   (Mark 11:15-18)

  • Gospel expansion always has/will be about the priority of inclusivity over exclusivity! (Mark 11:17; Isaiah 56:3-8; Jeremiah 7:11; Amos 9:11-12; John 1:14; 3:16-17; Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 21:5)
  • Some believers get these priorities mixed-up, and that gets the Lord angry! (Mark 2:16-17; 11:17; Jeremiah 7:1-15; Luke 14:21-23; John 4:32)
  • Kingdom ‘exclusive’ attitudes result in ‘paving the way’ to comfort and convenience!  (Mark 11:15a; Isaiah 58:3-5; Luke 14:7; Jonah 4:1-11)
  • While Kingdom inclusive attitudes result in paving the way to the Kingdom! (Mark 11:16-17; John 10:14-16; Acts 15:19, 28; Matthew 28:19)
  • The Kingdom path is paved with sacrifice, humility, and submission! (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 1:27; 2:4; 3:7-11; Ephesians 2:9; Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Kingdom inclusiveness includes all nations!” (Mark 11:16-17;        Isaiah 56:3-7; Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20; Luke 14:21-24; Acts 1:8)
  • Kingdom inclusiveness should be expected when Jesus is lifted up high! (John 12:32; Philippians 3:7-11; 1 Corinthians 9:9-13)
  • Promoting Kingdom inclusiveness gets people’s attention!                     (Mark 11:18; Matthew 7:28-29; 12:9-14; Acts 4:13; 9:1-9)
  • Are you more committed to ‘paving the way to your own comfort/convenience or to ‘paving the way to the Kingdom?         How does it show in the way you orient your life
