                          “Compelling Hospitality”  (Luke 14:16-24)

  • Transparent barriers’ often hinder the size, shape, and volume of the spiritual fruit that develops in/through our lives! (Luke 14:12-14)
  • Jesus calls us to participation in the vision and strategy of the good natured benevolent Father, in extending His invitation to the Great Supper! (Luke 14:16-17; Isaiah 25:6-9, Hebrews 12:1-2; Revelation 19:9)
  • The Heavenly Father provides everything necessary for this great feast! (Luke 14:17; John 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Revelation 21:6)
  • Many will offer insulting excuses and refuse His invitation! (Luke 14:18-20; Matthew 7:13-14; Romans 10:3; 11:7-8)
  • Servants of the Master must ‘compel’ the lost to come to the table of the Great Supper! (Luke 14:23; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 5:20; 10:3-6)
    • Persistent prayer and fasting! (James 5:16b; Matthew 17:20-21)
    • Modeling radical generosity! (Hebrews 13:2-3; Matthew 20:13-15)
    • Establishing relational bridges! (1 Corinth 9:19-23)
    • Demonstrating benevolent hospitality! (Luke 14:16-24)
    • Divine weaponry with power & authority! (2 Corinth 10:3-6)
  • While His servants become “compelled” through serving, and allowing His strategy to rub off on them, until it becomes their own! (Luke 14:17,21-23; Matthew 6:21)
  • “The main thing in life is to understand, that which God really wishes me to do; to find the idea for which I can live and die.”    (Soren Kierkegaard)
  • By adopting the compelling vision of the Heavenly Father, we reflect the character and heart desires of the Heavenly Father Himself!     (Luke 14:22-23; Matthew 5:16; 25:31-46)
  • Are you becoming “compelled” by the vision and strategy of the Master? What ‘transparent barrier(s) need removed from your life to release the full development of spiritual fruit by compelling others?
